Samuel and Bose Ogulu, the proud parents of the globally acclaimed artist Damini, affectionately known as Burna Boy, are rejoicing as they mark their 33rd year of wedded bliss.
In commemoration of this significant milestone in their marital journey, Bose, who also serves as the manager of the Grammy award-winning singer, took to her verified Instagram account to share heartwarming photos of herself and Burna Boy’s father.
In the caption accompanying the photos, she expressed, “33 years & still counting. Happy anniversary to us,” accompanied by a lovestruck emoji.
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu ‘Burna Boy’, born on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, hails from this enduring union. His mother, Bose Ogulu, was once employed as a language translator, while his father, Samuel, managed a welding company.

It is worth noting that Burna Boy’s maternal grandfather, Benson Idonije, once served as the manager of the late legendary pioneer of Afrobeat, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. As Burna Boy’s music career continued to ascend, his mother assumed the role of his manager.
In addition to managing Burna Boy’s career, Bose also oversees the professional affairs of her daughter, Nissi Ogulu, who is also a Songwriter and Recording artiste
Furthermore, she is the Founder & CEO at Spaceship Collective, which serves as the parent company for Spaceship Records, an entertainment label, and Spaceship Publishing, a publishing outfit.
