In its effort to provide a diverse learning environment and increased educational opportunities for our teaming youth, the Management of Kano State Polytechnic (KSP) has signed a partnership with the Mona Institute of Hospitality, Tourism, Management and Research Development of Nigeria to run some BSc, MSc, and PGD part-time programs under the Directorate of Part-Time Programs of Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
Speaking during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Chairman of the Institute, John Daniel expressed his delight over the commitments and enthusiasm displayed by the KSP Management towards the actualization of the partnership.
He emphasized that they decided to partner with KSP based on its standard and credibility in terms of staff and equipment.
Also speaking during the event, the Deputy Rector, Dr. Muhammad Umar Kibiya who is also the Chairman, Linkages and Collaboration Committee maintained that the collaboration will be fruitful and improve the standard of not only Kano State Polytechnic but the state and the entire nation.
Responding, the Rector, Dr. Kabir Bello Dungurawa lauded the bold step taken by the Institute in identifying with KSP.
He reiterated that the collaboration will afford students and those that wish to enrich their credentials the opportunity to do so in their various disciplines.
He further urged the Institute to ensure academic standards, assuring that the KSP Management is committed to the task.
The Rector also urged the Institute to maintain standards and reputation.

Meanwhile, all the programs that KSP offered will be available for PGD and MSc, while the following programs are approved for BSc:
1) Bachelor of Science (BSc) Environmental Health:
a. Public Health
b. Community Health & Social Works with options in:
i- Community Development
ii- Social Welfare Care
iii- Occupational Health and Safety Management
iv- Industrial Social Welfare
v- Community Health
2) BSc in Transport Management with an option in:
i. Aviation Management
ii. Logistics Management
iii. Maritime Management
iv. Procurement Management
v. Supply Chain Management
vi. Port Operations Management
3) BSc Economics
4) BSc Insurance
5) BSc Entrepreneurship Studies
6) BSc Actuarial Science
7) BSc Mathematics
8) BSc Psychology and Behavioral Studies
9) BSc Sociology
10) BSc Environmental Management
11) BSc Political Science
12) BA English and Literacy Studies
13) BA History and International Studies
The programs are expected to commence in the 2023/2024 academic session.
