Okowa’s Aide Threatens to Sue NDLEA if Naira Marley Smokes again

Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the former Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has declared his intention to take legal action against Nigerian music sensation Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.

The threat comes in response to Naira Marley’s recent visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), where he expressed his support for the agency’s anti-drug abuse campaign among youths.

During his visit to the NDLEA headquarters in Abuja, Naira Marley pledged his backing to the agency’s efforts to combat drug abuse among young people, teenagers, and his fans known as “Marlians.”

His involvement in the campaign stirred various reactions on social media platforms.

Expressing skepticism, Ovie Success took to his Facebook page to question whether Naira Marley had genuinely refrained from smoking before advocating against it.

He warned that if he were to witness Naira Marley smoking, either in a music video or in real life, he would proceed with legal action against both the artist and any artist signed to his record label found smoking.

He wrote, “I will sue NDLEA if I see Nairamarley smoking on his music video or on the ground, and if any of the artists signed to his record label are seen smoking.

“I hope @officialnairam1 has stopped smoking before being paid by NDLEA to campaign against smoking and drugs.

“I am watching him carefully because I am happy with this campaign.”
