During the previous season, Messi exhibited his prowess by contributing four goals and four assists in seven matches for PSG, despite their elimination in the round of 16.
Moreover, he captained Argentina to victory in the World Cup held in December 2022.
Erling Haaland’s exceptional talent was evident when he scored the opening goal in the thrilling 5-4 penalty shootout triumph over Sevilla in the Super Cup on Wednesday.
His remarkable performance was further highlighted by his title as the top scorer with 12 goals, leading City to their historic Champions League victory.

Kevin De Bruyne, the skilled Belgian midfielder, played a pivotal role in City’s triumphant season.

The nominees for the UEFA Coach of the Year award include Pep Guardiola, Luciano Spalletti, and Simeone Inzaghi.
The winners of these coveted awards will be unveiled during the UEFA Champions League draw, scheduled for August 31.
