President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to address the nation in a broadcast at 7 pm on Monday, July 31, 2023.
The announcement was made by Dele Alake, the presidential spokesman, in a statement released earlier on Monday.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” the statement read.
It is unclear what the broadcast is about.

However, it comes at a time when many Nigerians are grappling with widespread hardship due to the removal of fuel subsidy, resulting in an increase in petrol prices.
President Tinubu has been consistently appealing for calm, reassuring the public that the government is diligently working towards ensuring improved living conditions for Nigerians.
He likened the current situation to labor room pain, implying that the difficulties being experienced are temporary, and better days are ahead.
