The Kano State House of Assembly has officially confirmed two new commissioner nominees, appointed by Governor Abba Yusuf, as members of the State Executive Council.
The confirmation took place on Monday, after a successful screening process presided over by Speaker Mr. Ismail Falgore.
The nominees were Sheikh Tijani Auwal and Hajiya Aisha Saji.
GOOD EVENING NIGERIA recalls that Governor Yusuf on 26th June, appointed his deputy, Aminu Abdulsalam, as the state’s Commissioner for Local Government and assigned portfolios to 18 others.
Meanwhile, both Auwal and Aisha were reportedly in Saudi Arabia during, hence are expected to screened and sworn in after their return.
Tijjani Auwal is appointed commissioner for religious affairs, while Aisha Saji, commissioner for women, children and disabled.

The Speaker tasked the nominees to be dedicated to duty and urged them to complement the efforts of the governor toward developing the state.
The nominees while speaking with newsmen expressed happiness at their nominations by the governor, describing the opportunity as a call to serve the people of the state.
