The newly appointed Director General State Agency for the control of AIDS (SACA) Dr Usman Bashir has pledged zero new infection in the state with the support of relevant stakeholders to meet the yearning and aspirations of the teeming and growing populace.
Dr Usman who spoke immediately after he step in to the premises of the agency as a newly appointed Director General of the agency in a brief interaction with the,staff,then Directors of the agency and development partners, held at the conference hall of the agency.
The DG charged them to be up and doing to complement the present administration of HE Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf in view of its passion and commitment to safe-guard and provide healthy society.
He therefore enjoined staff of the agency to come up with a robust and sustainable working document that would help to have a direction and guide for the agency activities throughout the period.
The DG also pledged to work assiduously and systematically with the support of all and sundry to restore the good image of the agency and glory of the past, he stressed.
Speaking at the meeting the Director administration Hajiya Fatima Galadanchi and the Chairman (NEPWHAN) Network of people living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria Malan Nuhu Tela Gaya expressed their profound appreciation to Allah and Governor Abba Kabir for finding Dr Usman worthy and appoint him for the second time, which is a clear indication of his good track record of service and wishing him Allah’s continue guidance.
