Education experts have identified yearly turnout of graduates without proper skills from various institutions of learning across the Country as bane of geometric increase in unemployment rate.
This was observed by the experts in attendance at the 2022/2023 graduation ceremony of the Royal Spices Academy Ibadan on Tuesday
Experts led by Dr. Eyiwumi Olayinka from the University of Ibadan and Dr. Olufunmi Adegbile, Rector/CEO of Royal Spices Academy in their discussion expressed the need for skills acquisition in the school curriculum.
They submitted that emphasis must be laid on skills acquisition, describing it as a panacea to the growing unemployment rate.

The Oyo State Government has announced its plan to reintegrate over 1.5 million out-of-school children into the education system through the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA)
The initiative, through which over 1.5 million out-of-school children that have been absorbed into various public schools, under the 2017 to 2022 will be mopped up and brought back to the classrooms under the BESDA-Additional Funding-Transforming Education System at state level programme.

The European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, Samuela Isopi, has said the EU has awarded postgraduate Masters study scholarships to 135 Nigerian youths, selected from various universities across the country.
The EU Ambassador revealed this during a press briefing at the EU Embassy in Abuja.
According to her, over five hundred Nigerian you that have so far benefitted from the Erasmus scholarship programme since it began in 2019.
She added that the 135 Nigerian awardees for 2023, were selected from 15,000 applications from across the world.
