Arsenal Football Club has officially announced the completion of the transfer deal for England midfielder Declan Rice.
The 24-year-old’s move to Arsenal, reported to be worth a staggering 105 million pounds, is believed to set a new English transfer record.
Earlier, in a heartfelt letter addressed to West Ham supporters, Rice expressed his ambition to compete at the “very highest level,” which ultimately led to his decision to join Arsenal.
In the English Premier League season 2022/23, Declan Rice played 34 matches. They had 8 shots on target from a total of 24 shots and scored 3 goals (2.18 xG).
He averaged 57 passes per match with a pass completion rate of 88%, and had 2 assists. Declan Rice received 5 yellow cards and 0 red cards.
Declan started his youth career at Chelsea, before joining the West Ham academy in 2014, and signed his first professional contract a year later. On the final day of the 2016/17 season, an 18-year-old Declan made his senior debut and soon became an integral part of their first-team squad for the following six seasons.
He was named club captain in May 2022 and went on to lead the Hammers to the Europa Conference League title in June, and was named the tournament’s Player of the Season by UEFA. A regular with the England national team, he featured at both Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Declan will wear the number 41 shirt.
The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
