In response to President Bola Tinubu’s request, the House of Representatives has given its approval for the allocation of N500 billion to provide palliatives and alleviate the impact of petroleum subsidy removal on Nigerians.
On Thursday, the green chamber successfully amended the 2022 Supplementary Appropriations Act as per the president’s request.
GOOD EVENING NIGERIA reported that President Tinubu had submitted a letter on Wednesday urging the National Assembly to make amendments to the 2022 Supplementary Appropriations Act, specifically allocating N500 billion for the provision of palliatives.
The lower chamber has reviewed and considered the amendment bill, ultimately passing it on Thursday.
