The Movement Against Corruption in Nigeria (MACIN) has called on International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and Nigerian Immigration Service, and other relevant agencies to closely monitor Abdullahi Ganduje, the former governor of Kano state.
MACIN, a coalition of 92 associations including Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), youth groups, and anti-corruption student associations made the call during a joint press conference held at Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Press Centre.
Comrade Kabiru Dakata, the lead convener of MACIN, urged the “Interpol the Nigeria immigration services to put the former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on close watch,” emphasizing that “it is crucial to prevent him from fleeing the country before the investigation concludes.”
